APPLETON (NBC 26) -- The Thompson Center on Lourdes celebrated a soft reopening Monday.
The non-profit in Appleton focuses on fighting the effects of loneliness of adults over by offering opportunities for education, socialization and wellness.
They'll start by opening for three days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday and will offer about half of the number of classes.
"We're so excited about seeing our participants back and having activities that they love and enjoy. But more importantly, seeing their friends because their friends are just like family, and they're family to us,” said Liz Neuman, the Executive Director Thompson Center on Lourdes.
The center also updated sanitization practices and now has signs up to remind guests to social distance and wash their hands. Participants will have to preregister.
