Due to the rising levels of COVID-19 in Wisconsin, ThedaCare announced Monday that it will heighten visitor restrictions to hospitals.

Effective immediately, ThedaCare says no visitors for COVID positive and non-COVID patients will be allowed at ThedaCare Hospitals, Clinics and Surgery Centers. Exceptions to this rule include limited, approved, pre-arranged visitation for end of life. ThedaCare says those situations will pre-arranged through care teams.

Anyone under the age of 16 is restricted from visiting, ThedaCare says, except under extreme circumstances. For family birth care, visitors will be strictly limited to one essential person throughout the entire stay. No children are allowed.

One parent or guardian is allowed to accompany a minor or a patient with a medical need.

ThedaCare says patients presenting for outpatient care in a hospital or clinic setting are allowed to enter with their minor children, if there is no alternative. Children must be masked at all times.

All ThedaCare locations will be screening and requiring masks for approved visitors. Masks must be worn throughout the entire visit at ThedaCare.
