Additionally, the powerful storm that moved through Northeast Wisconsin impacted major events in the area, namely the EAA grounds in Oshkosh and the soccer game at Lambeau Field.

Announcement at Lambeau Field

Lambeau Field's first-ever soccer match was delayed twice due to the storm. The game was eventually able to resume. Attendance at the soccer match was 78,128, which is officially considered a sellout.

There were also reports of storm damage at Wittman Regional Airport, the site of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. A large number of people are currently at the EAA grounds in preparation for the annual AirVenture event, which officially begins Monday.

According to EAA, no one was hurt. Several people sheltered at the EAA Aviation Museum during the storm.

EAA says they have reports of some trees and branches down in the drive-in campgrounds. There was some property and vehicle damage from falling branches.

There were reports of some aircraft on Boeing Plaza being damaged, but other aircraft parked on the field seem to have weathered the storm well, EAA says, which is a credit to the aircraft owners securing their airplanes after arriving here. One EAA-owned aircraft was flipped onto its nose near the EAA museum despite being well-tied down.

EAA also says there was some damage to the main gate of the AirVenture grounds due to the wind. Several smaller exhibit tents were blown down. Numerous trashcans and unsecured objects were blown over as well.

EAA will be sending trucks out on Sunday morning to help remove areas of standing water left after the storm.
