DE PERE, Wis. — St. Norbert College says it is releasing their findings of the Title IX report and will discuss the steps the school is taking for handling Title IX and campus safety issues in the future.

The school says President Brian Bruess sent a letter to the college community summarizing the findings.

"Overall, the report determined that the college’s Title IX policies and procedures are solid," Buress writes, "But that there is a lack of trust in the process."

Buress said he had authorized an independent investigation of the college’s Title IX process.

The report does not contain policy recommendations, Buress says, but the investigator strongly supported previous commitments the school made to conduct a legal review of the Title IX program.

Buress writes he will soon name will be naming a new Interim Dean of Students. The previous dean, Dr. Sarah Swager, has taken up a new position as Vice Provost for Student Success at the University of Montana, Buress says.

The investigation also brought to the surface a few items requiring additional review, Buress writes in the letter, including updates to the school website and questions related to data collection and reporting.

The school notes in an email to NBC26 that there are names of individuals in the Title IX report, therefore the report will not be made public, "to respect their privacy and the integrity of the investigation."
