DE PERE (NBC 26) — Students at St. Norbert College have a new way to get around campus thanks to a donation from Broadway Automotive.

Broadway Automotive of Green Bay donated a 2019 Chevrolet Express passenger van to St. Norbert to serve as a campus shuttle. The college said the campus shuttle operates seven days a week from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. while school is in session.

The shuttle has the capacity to transport ten people. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the school says the shuttle currently can only transport three passengers, one in each row of seating. The passengers and the shuttle driver are required to be masked at all times. The van has also been fitted with a plexiglass personal barrier to protect the driver during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Students can call the campus shuttle dedicated phone at 422-RIDE. The students are then picked up and dropped off at St. Norbert college-owned properties, including residential halls, parking lots and off-campus student housing.

The school says Campus Safety oversees the campus shuttle service.
