Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (MWC) along with Johnson Financial Group released the top eight finalists earlier this week for the 2020 coolest thing made in Wisconsin contest.
South Milwaukee's Caterpillar Global Mining, is one of the eight remaining as its electric rope shovel (#7 seed) has made it to the second round of voting. The electric rope shovel is up against the Bravo Four S Forward-Facing Drive (#2 seed) from Mercury Marine of Fond du Lac.
This annual event features some of the most unique products made from all over the state. Since the start of the contest on Sept. 14, more than 50,000 votes have been cast.
