A statewide Silver Alert has been issued for a Janesville woman who was reported missing Friday.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice Silver Alert said Karen Nordin, 76, was last seen at the Madison VA Hospital this afternoon. Her car was seen leaving the parking ramp.

Nordin is a white woman who is 5 feet tall, has blue eyes and long gray, white hair. She was last seen wearing dark-colored slacks, a red blouse and dark colored glasses frames with transitional tri focal lenses. She also has a black Columbia jacket but may not be wearing it.

She was seen driving a black 2015 Nissan Sentra with Wisconsin license plates AKS-1569. Officials said the car has black duct tape on the rear driver’s side bumper and does not have a front license plate.

Nordin has a history of being easily confused and wandering away from family, authorities said, and may be frightened if approached.

Anyone who finds her or her vehicle is encouraged to call the Madison Veteran Affairs Police at 608-280-7270
