SHAWANO COUNTY (NBC 26) -- A driver reportedly said "see ya" to a Shawano County deputy before driving away and then getting stuck during a chase.

According to the Shawano County Sheriff's Office, a deputy pulled over a driver early Monday morning for not stopping at a 4-way stop intersection. The Sheriff's Office said the deputy noticed the driver, who had a Texas driver's license, appeared to be impaired. The deputy ordered the driver to get out of the vehicle to conduct field sobriety tests.

The Sheriff's Office said the driver ignored the deputy's orders, told the deputy "see ya", and then drove off. Authorities chased after the vehicle until it became stuck on a logging road.

The driver was taken into custody. Charges for OWI 1st, failure to stop at a stop sign and felony fleeing have been referred to the District Attorney.
