SHEBOYGAN (NBC 26) — Law enforcement reported a disturbance involving a suspect who brandished and fired a handgun within a residence Sunday shortly before 3:30 a.m.
The Sheboygan Police Department said the shooting happened on the 1500 block of Main Ave. No injuries were reported as a result of the shooting.
Officers said the distrubance was the result of an after-bar party. They spoke with numerous witnesses and ultimately determined that a fight started after a group of males arrived at the party.
According to reports, one of the men pulled out a handgun and discharged several rounds. No one was struck by the gunfire, but police said the fight resulted in a few minor injuries.
Officers said they are looking into some potential suspects as they continue to investigate the disturbance.
Based on the investigation, police said they do not believe this is a random event and there is no danger to the community.
