SHEBOYGAN (NBC 26) -- A 57-year-old Manitowoc man was killed after a struggle involving guns, according to a news release from Sheboygan Police.

Police said officers responded Monday around 5 p.m. to a disturbance at 3060 South Business Drive. When officers arrived, police say a 22-year-old man approached them and said a man in a vehicle at the end of the parking lot was suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers found the man, identified as the Manitowoc resident, dead in the vehicle.

According to police, the 22-year-old told officers that he had driven the 57-year-old to the area. The Manitowoc man was trying to get money to pay for work done on his vehicle. While in the parking lot, police say the 57-year-old pulled a handgun and a struggle ensued inside the vehicle. During the struggle, police say the 22-year-old got his own handgun and fired two shots at the 57-year-old man.

Police are still investigating and will present the case to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
