WAUPACA COUNTY (NBC 26) -- A Shawano woman is facing charges including a 5th OWI, according to Wisconsin State Patrol.
On Thursday, a State Patrol trooper stopped to check on a van disabled on County Highway X at Larry Road. According to State Patrol, the trooper detected the odor of intoxicants coming from the driver's breath and noticed other signs of impairment.
Following an investigation, including field sobriety tasks, police say 64-year-old Donna Welch was arrested on charges operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, 5th offense, and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked drivers license.
