BROWN COUNTY (NBC 26) — Health experts are encouraging everyone six months and older to get a flu shot as soon as possible.
They say it's even more important for seniors as hospitals are already dealing with COVID-19 patients.
"This is not the year to go into the hospital if you can at all help it. So, because older adults have much higher rates of chronic conditions that complicates the flu, and it makes it much more deadly," said Devon Christianson Director of Aging & Disability Resource Center of Brown County.
The health experts stress it's best to get vaccinated against both COVID-19 and the flu.
