MANITOWOC -- A traveling tribute to the men and women who served in Vietnam stopped in Manitowoc on Thursday.
The “Wall That Heals” is a three-quarter sized replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. It's now on display at the Manitowoc County Expo Center.
"It's been very emotional for very many people,” said Cathy Karl, with the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 731. “Even yesterday while the troops were working in the pouring torrential downpours, not once, not twice, but three times, when they finally put that last panel in, they cried tears. Not so much of joy of being out of the rain, but just that they had such a big part of putting the wall together yesterday."
The “Wall That Heals” will be on display through Sunday. It's open 24 hours a day and is free to visit.
