Bart and Cherry Starr's last visit to Green Bay came in October 2017, when the Ice Bowl team was honored at Lambeau Field.
That weekend, Starr donated several items to the team's Hall of Fame, including a three-diamond championship ring.
At the time, Cherry said it would be Bart's last visit to Green Bay.
"We love you all," she said. "We love our fans. We love this city, and we'll miss you so much."
In a statement on his passing, the Starr family said Bart was hoping to visit Green Bay and see the team one final time in the fall.
