OCONTO (NBC 26) -- Oconto is still feeling the effects of ice jams from the river as the water and ice are receding.
Ice jams from the Oconto River caused the city to call a flood emergency the day before New Year's Eve. They asked people not to drive on the roads at the time. The emergency has since been lifted, but Oconto is still feeling the ice's effect.
Red Cross has been helping people affected by the flooding by providing free clean-up kits. While sharing the kits, they also posted a photo of the receding ice and water in Oconto.

The city plans to hold extra trash pick up to help residents in the clean-up process.
