GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Red Cross is asking for your help this holiday season.
On Monday the organization kicked off its holiday blood drive in Green Bay.
Officials say that the winter months can be among the most challenging time for the Red Cross to collect donations.
Many donors are busy, and the weather can cancel blood drives.
However, officials said that it's a great gift to give.
"With our regular donors gone we're hoping that new donors will come in and donate, have a good experience, and then continue to donate through the rest of the year and ongoing," Debbie Mylener said.
The blood drive continues Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Ashwaubenon Community Center.
