PULASKI (NBC 26) — Sara Malchow, a teacher at Hillcrest Elementary School in Pulaski, was recently awarded $2,500 from Epic.com during Teacher Appreciation Week. Epic.com is a digital reading platform for kids 12 and under.

According to a news release, Sara was selected as an award recipient because of her passion and dedication to inspiring students with a love of reading and learning during a very challenging year of remote and hybrid teaching.
Sara is a Digital Learning Specialist for Hillcrest Elementary School. She has been teaching 1st and 2nd-grade students for 18 years.
