GREEN BAY, Wis. — A big display for businesses at Lambeau Field showing off technology. Werner Electric Supply held its 2019 Process Controls Forum, also known as Pro4M, on Thursday. People could attend multiple sessions including technical sessions, hands-on labs and more. Some of the conversations were about the impact of technology on the lives of workers.
"Bringing intelligent devices to an automated plant that can be accessed from anywhere means that if you lose a device after hours, an engineer doesn't have to drive in to troubleshoot it. With the right set-up, he could remote in to reset the device from his home office and maybe provide some guidance to that facility from the comfort of his home," said Werner Electric Supply Product Manager Andrew Jaeger.
Another topic was how to save companies money by avoiding machine downtime.
