Power gliders hurt after hitting power lines, cause outage

OUTAGAMIE CO. (NBC 26) — Two people power gliding in Outagamie County were hurt after hitting a power line and crashing into a farm field.

The Sheriff's Office said it happened around 8 p.m. Saturday night in the Town of Freedom on Weyers Road.

The man and woman, both from Freedom, were taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Deputies said power to the immediate area was disrupted, but WE Energies restored it.
