Police search for suspect in early morning Oshkosh business robbery

OSHKOSH, Wis. (NBC 26) — Police are asking the public for help in locating a suspect involved in a business robbery Friday morning around 6:30 a.m.

The Oshkosh Police Department said the robbery happened at a business located on the 200 block of Bowen Street.

Officers said a male suspect entered the business and pointed a gun at an employee, demanding money. He ran away with an undisclosed amount of money.

According to police, the suspect at one point was seen carrying a gray messenger bag. He is described as a black male, wearing a dark colored face mask, black sweatshirt, black pants, and white shoes.

Officers said no one was injured during this incident.

The Department is asking people who live in the area of Ceape Ave and Bowen St to check their surveillance cameras to see if they may have recorded the suspect in the area. It is believed he was on foot in the area at least 15 minutes prior to the robbery occurring.
