KAUKAUNA (NBC 26) — UPDATE: A man is in custody following an hours-long standoff in Kaukauna Thursday morning.
Police say they made contact with a suspicious man in the 1400 block of Crooks Avenue around 3 a.m. Thursday.
Officers say they realized the 42-year-old suspect had a felony warrant for his arrest. They say the man was not cooperating with authorities and fled the scene in his vehicle. Officers were able to deflate the suspect's tires, and the pursuit ended when the suspect's vehicle got hung up in the median on CTH CE near Fieldcrest Drive.
Authorities say the suspect refused to follow commands, and officers believed the suspect was armed and dangerous.
The Outagamie County Emergency Response Team responded and assisted with negotiations.
After several hours of negotiations, the suspect fled the vehicle, less lethal force was deployed, and the suspect was taken into custody.

UPDATE: Police were able to take a suspect into custody following an active incident.
After jumping in and out of a vehicle, police shouted at the suspect to come out with their hands up. The suspect kept reaching for their back pants pocket and took off running.
Sources on the scene tell us police opened fire on the suspect and were able to tackle them to the ground and take them into custody.
