TWO RIVERS (NBC 26) — A tragic student death at the Two Rivers High School pool has been deemed an accident by authorities.
The Manitowoc County Coroner's office reports the manner of death as an accident and the immediate cause of death as drowning.
Two Rivers Police and the Manitowoc County Coroner's office began investigating the student's death on February 8.
Upon conclusion of the investigation, the police department, along with the Manitowoc County District Attorney's Office, determined there was no evidence to substantiate criminal charges.
Police call this a tragic accident and offer sympathies to the student's family and the high school community.
