TOWN OF WRIGHTSTOWN — The planning committee for the Town of Wrightstown is waiting to vote on the proposed manure digester plant to next week. If the planning committee approves the plan, then it will get transferred over to the town board for final approval.

The committee says they are waiting for one final report from the DNR before holding a vote.

"We are basing this whole conditional use on the facts," said Bill Verbeten, the town Chairman. "That's why we wanted to get the facts from the DNR to make sure that everything said is factual."

The plant is being organized by BC Organics. If approved, the location would be right off County Highway IL. The project would cost around $60 million.

Residents disapprove of this plan claim their would be more truck traffic in town and the overall smell would be worse.

"The farmers around here I care about," said Ed Dietz, a town resident. "I'm not sure if it will be worse or not, but we already struggle with the odor."

The planning commission said in Wednesday's meeting they found solutions to those problems, but they still want to wait
