TOWN OF RED RIVER — One person had to be flown to the hospital following a crash Wednesday afternoon, according to the Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department.
Authorities say an 18-year-old woman was driving eastbound on Highway S and had stopped at the controlled intersection with Highway AB. The Sheriff's Department says as she drove into the intersection, she was hit by a truck driven by a 43-year-old man, which was traveling southbound on Highway AB.
When first responders arrived to the scene, crews had to extricate one injured victim who was trapped and unconscious in a vehicle. The Sheriff's Department says one person was flown by Eagle Three to a medical facility in Green Bay with substantial injuries.
The Sheriff's Department did not identify the people involved in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
