MENASHA — A person died after being shot by a Neenah officer in Menasha on Tuesday, Menasha Police said in a news release.
Police say officers were serving a search warrant at an apartment in the 900 Blk. of Tayco Street in Menasha. Police say it was in connection to a possible internet crime against children investigation.
Police say a "male subject" was shot during the investigation by a Neenah officer assisting in the investigation. The person was taken to Thedacare Regional Medical Center Neenah but died from his injuries, police say.
The Menasha Police Department and Neenah Police Department have turned the investigation of the incident over to the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation.
