OSHKOSH (NBC 26) -- The Oshkosh Area School District said Thursday it will expand its Free Grab-and-Go Meal Program.
Effective Friday, April 3, the OASD will provide free meals for the weekend.
"Weekend meals will be distributed on Fridays, providing those in need with three days worth of food," OASD states in a news release.
There will not be weekend meal distribution sites. Instead, families need to go to an OASD meal distribution site (school or neighborhood) on Friday to receive food. A list of distribution sites can be found here.
The OASD says the District’s Free Grab-and-Go Meal Program has been deemed an essential service and is continuing during Wisconsin’s recent Safer At Home Order.
The OASD continues to seek financial donations to provide free grab-and-go meals. To make a financial donation, click here.
