Oshkosh police investigating hit and run involving vehicle and bicycle

OSHKOSH (NBC 26) — The Oshkosh Police Department is currently investigating a hit and run crash that happened on County Rd A and E Snell Rd just before 3 p.m. Friday.

The roadway on County Rd A and Snell Rd is currently closed. The public is asked to avoid the area.

Police said the crash involved a bicyclist and a vehicle. The bicyclist had been traveling Eastbound on E Snell Rd and the vehicle was traveling Southbound on County Rd A. Police said after the driver struck the bicyclist, the vehicle continued traveling Southbound on County Rd A. One person was taken to a local hospital due to his injuries.

Police continue to investigate. The suspected vehicle is described as a dark colored Jeep SUV. There appears to be damage on the front driver’s side of the vehicle.
