Oshkosh police arrest 3 people after 2 shootings Sunday morning

OSHKOSH (NBC 26) — Police said three people have been arrested in connection to two shootings that happened early Sunday morning.

According to the Oshkosh Police Department, the first shooting took place on the 700 block of Division Street within the city around 2:15 a.m. The second shooting happened almost immediately after on the 700 block of Central Street.

Police said witnesses from the first shooting were able to describe a suspect vehicle leaving the scene. Officers quickly located the vehicle and a traffic stop was initiated. A handgun was found in the vehicle. A 20-year-old Oshkosh woman was then taken to jail.

Officers said they responded to the second set of gunshots and quickly detained several individuals. A search warrant was obtained for an address on that block and another handgun was located. Two people were taken to jail in connection with the second shooting.

The Department said there are no known injuries or property damage related to either shooting. These investigations are still ongoing.
