OSHKOSH (NBC 26) -- Oshkosh North High School will transition back to hybrid learning on Thursday, the Oshkosh Area School District announced.
"This transition back to Hybrid Learning was expedited as a result of the District’s ability to secure alternative coverage for key staff positions impacted by COVID-19 exposure," the school district said in a statement Wednesday.
Earlier this week, students at Oshkosh North High School and Merrill Middle School were switched to virtual learning due to "staffing limitations and circumstances beyond our control," the school district said.
"The staffing issue was the result of receiving information about confirmed COVID-19 positive cases and the need to quarantine several critical staff members who are essential to open school in a face-to-face hybrid environment," the school district said in a follow-up statement.
The school district now says per the OASD’s 2020-21 Model 3 - AB Calendar, Thursday is an “A Day”, which means that "Group B" students will report to school for in-person learning and "Group A" students will participate in virtual learning.
