OSHKOSH (NBC 26) — Oshkosh Defense has made a large donation to support future Honor Flight missions, Old Glory Honor Flight announced Monday.
Old Glory Honor Flight said the Oshkosh company has donated $30,000 to the cause. Oshkosh Defense, an Oshkosh Corporation Company, designs and makes military vehicles and mobility systems.
Since 2011, Oshkosh Defense has been a major contributor to Old Glory Honor Flight and to date has contributed over $200,000.
Old Glory Honor Flight is a nonprofit that is dedicated to honoring local war veterans by transporting them to see the war memorials in Washington D.C. The organization plans to continue to transport veterans from Northeast Wisconsin to the nation's capitol once COVID-19 travel restrictions are lifted.
