OSHKOSH (NBC 26) -- The downtown Oshkosh holiday parade has been canceled this year, due to concerns regarding COVID-19.
Jessica Meidl, manager of the downtown Oshkosh business improvement district, said there are plans for an alternative event, but those plans have not yet been finalized.
This marks the third city in northeast Wisconsin that has canceled a winter holiday event due to coronavirus. Both Green Bay and Manitowoc also recently canceled their holiday parades over COVID concerns.
