ONEIDA (NBC 26) — It's National Indigenous Peoples' Day, and the Onedia community is coming together to mark the special occasion.
The Oneida Nation will celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day Monday, Oct. 13 at the Norbert Hill Center, N7210 Seminary Rd., Oneida.
The day begins with a sacred tobacco Thanksgiving ceremony at 8 a.m.
After that, there will be opening remarks, the reading of the Oneida Nation resolution, an Oneida song by Oneida Nation High School and a book presentation.
