One person is injured in chemical fire in Green Bay

GREEN BAY, Wis. (NBC 26) -- One person is injured after a fire erupts inside a chemical manufacturing facility in Green Bay.

Just before 7:30 Thursday night, Green Bay Metro Fire Department crews were called to a structure fire at 416 Elizabeth Street.

A fire involving combustible liquids was discovered inside the facility. Due to the hazardous chemicals, additional crews were called to the scene.

The fire was quickly put out and all employees inside were able to get out safely.

According to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, one person was injured but fire officials did not release details about their condition.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The total damage to the facility is estimated at $150,000.
