KAUKAUNA (NBC26) -- Update: A 52-year-old Shiocton woman died in a semi vs SUV crash at the intersection of highways S and J in the town of Kaukauna, according to the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office.
At 6:34 a.m. Monday, an SUV northbound on Highway J failed to stop at a stop sign at Highway S. The SUV struck an eastbound semi-tractor driven by a 55-year-old Shiocton man. The semi was owned by Keith Olmstead Trucking in Bear Creek.
The SUV driver died at the scene, while the semi driver was transported by helicopter to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Freedom Fire and first responders along with Vandenbroek/Kaukauna Fire. The intersection remains closed and the crash is under investigation.

FREEDOM (NBC26) -- One person is dead and another one is injured after a crash in Outagamie County.
It happened Monday morning at the intersection of County Highway J and County Highway S in Freedom.
Officials say the crash was between a semi and SUV.
Deputies say the intersection will be closed down for several hours.
