GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — One person got minor burns after escaping a fire Tuesday morning.
It happened around midnight on East Shore Drive in Green Bay. Metro Fire said initial reports stated a 12-year-old was unaccompanied for when the family was evacuating the single family home. Aggressive search and fire efforts were made by crews and the fire was out within 10 minutes.
Green Bay Police later found the 12-year-old at a family member's home down the street and uninjured.
Six people are without a home now due to the fire causing it a total loss with damage estimates around $245,000. The family member who was slightly burned was treated on scene and released.
The fire is under investigation.
