DODGE COUNTY (NBC 26) -- A fatal two vehicle crash Friday morning leaves one dead and sends one to the hospital.
Dodge County Sheriff's Office said it happened on State Highway 33 between County Highway A and Thompson Road.
Deputies said 19-year-old Jacob Anderson of Jackson was driving a pickup truck that crossed over the median. Anderson crashed into 66-year-old Charles Schultz of Juneau, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time. Schultz died on scene. Anderson was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.
The Sheriff's Office is still investigating, but add there are several factors contributing to the cause and seriousness of the crash. This includes inattentive driving due to drowsiness.
