MARINETTE, Wis. (NBC 26) — Firefighters responded to a fatal building fire Saturday morning.
The Marinette Police Department said the fire happened at 1215 Main Street.
First responders said the building was engulfed in flames when they arrived. They were told the building was evacuated.
Firefighters said they were able to enter the building and extinguish the flames. After a search, a body was found inside the building.
Police said the victim's name will be withheld until a positive identification is made and the family is notified.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
