TWO RIVERS (NBC 26) -- One person has died after a high-speed chase with law enforcement Sunday. The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) said it happened after 4 a.m. in Two Rivers.
According to a release from the DOJ, law enforcement with the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office tried to stop a speeding vehicle when it went off the road and crashed. Medical aid was given to the driver, but died from injuries on the scene.
One Manitowoc County Sheriff’s deputy is on administrative leave, per department policy. The DOJ is investigating.
They say no law enforcement personnel were injured from the crash.
