WINNECONNE (NBC 26) — A brave and bone-chilling effort by first responders ended in sadness Tuesday when a rescued deer died shortly after it was pulled from the Wolf River.
According to Winneconne police officials, the animal laid down and died about one hour after rescuers saved it from the icy waters.
