Residents in some central parts of Wisconsin may see military aircraft flying overhead Tuesday as part of a training exercise for NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command).
The training exercise is planned between 10:00 a.m. and noon Central Daylight Time. A NORAD news release states the aircraft involved includes F-16 fighter jets as well as a Cessna 182 and a Beechcraft Baron general aviation.
People living in Dane, Columbia, Marquette, and Green Lake counties may see these aircraft flying as low as 8,000 feet, NORAD says.
The training exercises are meant to test responses, systems and equipment.
