Wisconsin high school students have a new tool to help with financial planning.
The non-profit Secure Futures is providing Money Path, a free financial planning app, to 140,000 Wisconsin teens.
They say students who have used it were surprised with what they learned.
"A lot of comments on how eye opening it is, seeing what their student loan debt could look like once they graduate college. And how that fits into their budget based on the salary for the career they chose," said Patrick Rorabeck, Business Director, Secure Futures.
Using the app students can build multiple plans so they can compare different school and career choices.
