GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- In a press release on Wednesday, the Green Bay Area Public School District announced a change in their snow day policy while students are learning remotely.

They will no longer be determining inclement weather days for Green Bay private and parochial schools. They will continue to have virtual learning in Green Bay public schools on severe weather days.

The private and parochial schools will be responsible to announce if they determine it is unsafe for buses to run or hold school.

While in virtual learning, the District may still call an inclement weather day to inform the public that school buildings are closed and that no meals will be served.

When the District moves to blended learning, it will return to it's normal process, and during an inclement weather day there will be no school. The District will also be canceling school for both public and private again.
