SHERWOOD, Wis. (NBC 26) -- Get ready to glow for a good cause. Nine at Night charity golf outing is lighting up the High Cliff Golf Course in Sherwood.

This glow golfing event kicked off at 9:00 Friday night to benefit Special Olympics Wisconsin.

Light up golf balls guide athletes along the course with fun challenges along the way.

Participants enjoy a round of golf, dinner, prizes, and a chance to help out the athletes of the Special Olympics.

Sarah Graper, Director of Special Events for Special Olympics Wisconsin says the late-night challenge makes this fundraiser event unique.

"So we have our golf carts decorated in glow tire, we have glowing golf balls that they're going to be playing with, all of the green is going to be lit up with different lights to make it an extra challenge in the dark, so we're really excited to see how all the players play out."

Law Enforcement for Special Olympics Wisconsin puts on the event which plans to wrap up at 11:00 pm Friday.

100% of the proceeds benefit Special Olympics Wisconsin athletes.
