GREEN BAY, Wis (NBC 26) -- Following months of uncertainty, speculation and even concern for some, on Thursday night the NFL kicked off their 2020 season.
It wasn't that long ago when fans didn't know how to feel about the possibility of a professional football season in the middle of a pandemic.
"Mixed feelings. Of course, I'm really excited, I'm ready to see it happen," says Collins Pritchett, of Waupaca.
"I certainly had some concerns, some wonders, what's going to happen?" expressed Steven Davis, a Packers fan from Oregon, who questioned whether the NFL would make it through the preseason.
On Thursday night the NFL pushed forward and fans got to see the beginning of what will undoubtedly be, a season to remember.
"I think for so many people, this is a piece of what makes a year a year and we lost so much of 2020. At least having a football season is something we can be grateful for," says Packers fan Andy Behrendt of Waupaca.
