GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — The Green Bay Salvation Army is offering new opportunities to volunteer with the organization.
The first is related to Valentine's Day. The Salvation Army is adding donated Valentine's Day cards to care packages donated to seniors that have had limited social engagement since the pandemic started. The organization is looking to add a special Valentine card, note or drawing for a senior in our community. Drop off unsealed cards on or by Feb 10 to Renee Main at The Salvation Army, 626 Union Ct (door with red awning) between 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Salvation Army is also in need of a kitchen dishwasher. The Salvation Army is serving lunch in a to-go, drive through fashion, to community members Monday - Friday. The Green Bay branch is looking for someone to help with dishes any day of the week, preferably on a weekly basis. Dishes would include mostly cookware, large serving trays and utensils. Some lifting, bending and all standing required for this role. Click here to sign up: http://bttr.im/3wkqs.
The organization is also accepting donations. You can donate on the Salvation Army's wish list: laundry soap, dish soap and disinfecting wipes/cleaner - https://bit.ly/registryforgoodgb.
