APPLETON -- Here’s something to check out the next time you fly out of Appleton: a new “living wall” is now bringing natural beauty and calm to the TSA Checkpoint at Appleton International Airport.

The new security checkpoint features a three-sided, 276-square-foot wall filled with a mix of five different indoor plants.

"So, the plant wall is designed to help calm people down,” said Marketing and Communications Coordinator Summer Hegranes. “Travel can be stressful. And it's just part of our initiative to make the travelers experience as positive as it can possibly be. And help our travelers feel stress free."

Appleton International Airport is the third largest airport in Wisconsin.
