The newly constructed I-41 US 10 Wisconsin 441 Interchange will be named after late State Senate President Michael G. Ellis.

On Monday, Senator Roger Roth said he was excited to take this bill on to Senate.

Ellis served over five decades and was in the State Senate from 1983 to 2015. Roth says he tirelessly pushed for a fully functioning interchange.

He says this will be a great testament to the man who did so much for the Fox Valley.

“He passed just this last year, just after it was formally opened, that's why I think it's fitting, that we rename this interchange after him,” said Senator Roth. “I’ve talked with his family, his wife, his brothers, nieces and nephews, and they're ecstatic that we will be recognizing his contributions by naming this interchange after him

Roth says they'll be bringing this bill to the floor Tuesday.
