ASHWAUBENON (NBC 26) -- They call it “Cash for A Cure”, the American Cancer Society's annual fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse.
On Thursday in Ashwaubenon, lunch was free with donations encouraged. Local celebrities, including NBC 26’S Stacy Engebretson and Regina Ahn, as well as cancer survivors, caregivers and American Cancer Society staff waited on guests.
"Going through breast cancer 12 years ago, I want to support it, I know that there's a lot of people out there and that it just, we need to find a cure and that's why I'm here,” said survivor Vicky Steinmann.
100% of the donations will support the American Cancer Society.
