GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- The Wisconsin National Guard says one of its teams will collect specimens for COVID-19 testing at the Green Bay Correctional Institution.
The team will collect specimens at the Green Bay prison between September 10 and 11 this week, the Guard said in a news release. The Wisconsin National Guard had previously collected specimens at Green Bay Correctional back in June and again in August.
Additionally, the Guard said one team will operate a community-based testing site that opened September 1 at the Sunnyview Expo Center in Oshkosh. The team has collected nearly 850 specimens as of Monday.
For months now, the Wisconsin National Guard has assisted with COVID-19 testing sites across Wisconsin. Earlier this year, Guard members assisted with testing sites at the Resch Center and Casa ALBA in Green Bay.
