SHAWANO CO. (NBC 26) — Saturday, deputies said one person died from injuries related to a vehicle and motorcycle crash.
Shawano County Sheriff's Department said the crash happened at the crossroads of Highway 47 and Landstad Road in the Township of Lessor.
According to the Sheriff Department's report, a vehicle traveling southbound on Hwy 47 stopped to turn Eastbound onto Landstad Rd. A male motorcycle driver traveling the same direction crashed into the stopped vehicle.
Deputies said the male was thrown from the motorcycle and ended up in the opposite lane. A vehicle traveling northbound then hit the driver laying in the roadway.
First responders said the motorcycle driver was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
No further information has been released at this time.
